Greetings!
It took a couple times of looking through the catalog before I took much notice of the Lighting the Way bundle. It caught my eye because of the lovely leafy stamps, which I liked the delicacy of, and the beautiful lantern that is part of the dies. I talked myself into getting it, and I'm so glad I did. It really is a lovely bundle. One of the challenges I participated in recently is called a one-sheet wonder, where you take a full sheet of cardstock, stamp multiple images on it, then cut it into fourths (or more) and make cards with each of the stamped panels. This stamp set worked very well for the challenge.
It's a great way to make multiple cards pretty quickly. Here's what my sheet looked like prior to cutting it into panels.
For this card, after I had cut the sheet into fourths, I added a couple more of the plant stamps and a smaller firefly to fill in the background a bit more. I chose the message from the Simply Succulents stamp set, as well as a label from the coordinating Potted Succulents dies, as the shape of the label is so lovely!
Fireflies always seem so magical so the message is very fitting - how an ordinary bug during daylight turns into an extraordinary glowing bug twinkling and lighting up our meadows in the summer evenings.

Here's How It's Made:
Either choose to stamp a full sheet similar to the one I show at the beginning of this blog, or simply stamp a Basic White cardstock panel. Here are the colors I used for each background item:
- Parakeet Party - long delicate leafy stamp
- Garden Green - short 3-blade grass stamp
- Soft Sea Foam - large 2-leaf with small offshoots stamp
- Basic Gray - medium and small firefly stamps
- Daffodil Delight - dots and mini fireflies swirls, small and medium circles - stamped off once
Ink long leafy stem with Garden Green, stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock, die cut. Ink large 2- leaf with small offshoots stamp with Soft Sea Foam, stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock, die cut.
Wrap Parakeet Party 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon around panel 4 times, tie a knot, and trim off excess. Adhere panel to Soft Sea Foam folded card front.
Ink sentiment with Garden Green, stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock, die cut with label die. Position over wrapped ribbon, adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals. Tuck to die cut leafy pieces under ribbon at left edge of label, adhere.
As mentioned at the beginning of this blog post, this is one of the cards I made from the full sheet of cardstock I stamped. Here are the other three I made:
These three cards use the messages from the Lighting the Way and Simply Succulents stamp sets as well as the Lighting the Way dies for the large fireflies and more of the labels from the Potted Succulents dies. The additional cardstock colors used are Garden Green, Parakeet Party and Daffodil Delight, as well as Vellum for the wings on the die cut fireflies, and Basic Gray for the bodies.
