Greetings!
The Desert Details bundle caught my eye right away, mostly because of the wonderfully detailed dies. There are so many beautiful samples throughout the Jan-April 2023 mini catalog that use one or both of the dies that are used as frames or mat layers.
For this card I chose the smaller of the two dies as my backdrop for the focal point. It's so lovely with the detailed accents and the notches along each edge. Cutting it out of the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) really makes it pop, especially when layered against the lovely soft brushstrokes print from the Delicate Desert Designer Series Papers. All of these items are part of the Delicate Desert Suite Collection and offer a wide variety of Southwest inspired images.
Isn't it beautiful! The aloe plant die along with a small flower is all it needs to compliment the sentiment. This sentiment comes from the Through it Together stamp set, which is filled with loving and supportive messages.
Embellishing it with a few Gold & Copper Brushed Metallic Dots adds just the right finishing touch. As noted in the title of this blog post, all the shades of orange, ranging from Pale Papaya to the rich burnished tones of Cajun Craze are what makes Stampin' Up! so great! Their colors are made to work together and make it easy for us to mix and match and know the whole of it will look fantastic.

- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- 3 x 1-1/2 for aloe plant die cut
- Calypso Coral cardstock
- Basic White cardstock
- Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper
- 5-1/4 x 4 Soft brushstroke Calypso Coral/Petal Pink/Pale Papaya/Cajun Craze panel

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Delicate Desert DSP print to Pale Papaya folded card front.
Die cut smaller frame from Dry Brushed Metallic DSP. Adhere to card front, centered, with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Cut *adhesive sheet piece to adhere to Pale Papaya cardstock, die cut with aloe plant die. Save a couple of the negative pieces. Adhere aloe plant to Dry Brushed Metallic panel, angling so a couple tips of leaves extend off left side. Adhere the saved negative pieces to the right of the plant at angles. Ink small flower with Cajun Craze, stamp onto Basic White, die cut. Adhere over bottom part of aloe plant with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Ink "You are loved..." with Cajun Craze, stamp onto Calypso Coral cardstock. Adhere under flower and aloe plant, with sides evenly extending beyond Dry Brushed Metallic frame.
Embellish with large and small Gold and Copper Brushed Metallic Dots.
*If you haven't tried the Adhesive Sheets yet, I strongly encourage it for detailed die cuts. It can sometimes be a bit tricky to grab an edge and pull off the protective backing, but it's so worth it to have a die cut that solidly adheres to your card without the mess of sticky fingers and shiny glue spots that can show when using liquid glue. The Adhesive Sheets come in 12 x 6 sheets, and are scored every 2" on the 6" width, so it makes it easy to cut small pieces from the sheet and use only what is needed. Love them!
