Greetings!
Today felt like the perfect day to have a project using the Splendid Day Suite of products. This suite was an early release that as a demonstrator we could purchase for a creative virtual event Stampin' Up! invited us to participate in. It was a lovely event and we came away with beautiful projects and a chance to use these products in a variety of ways.
The Splendid Day Suite includes the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and Splendid Stems dies as well as the truly gorgeous Splendid Day Specialty Designer Series Papers(DSP), which are various colored foils on one side, a lovely Soft Sea Foam 3/8" ribbon and Open Leaf trinkets. It's really a lovely collection. I love the suites, as you simply have to enter one item # into your cart to receive all the items listed, which includes the 10% discount on the stamp set and die bundle. It's a great way to get everything in the collection without missing an item.
This card also includes the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing folder with an added coloring technique. After the Coral Calypso cardstock is embossed, we then add a whitewashed look by softly adding White Craft Ink using a Blending Brush. I love the half-circle die that comes with this set! It creates the perfect planter for all the beautiful stamped and die cut plants.
Isn't it fun! I wouldn't have thought to put the white outlined die cuts with colored cardstock die cuts stamped in black, and yet it works great! We can always learn new techniques and new ways to combine elements to create a look, right? I'm glad for the inspiration I receive and the opportunity to share it with you!

Here's How It's Made:
Emboss Calypso Coral cardstock panel with Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. Rub Blending Brush onto inked White Craft Pad* to gather ink, then lightly rub onto embossed cardstock to create a whitewashed/distressed look onto bricks.

Ink rounded leaf cluster stamp with Tuxedo Black ink and stamp onto Petal Pink cardstock. Die cut. Ink outline leaf cluster with Tuxedo Black ink and stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Die cut. Ink "sending hugs" with Tuxedo Black ink, stamp onto Basic White piece, fussy cut with Paper Snips scissors. Using Basic White cardstock, die cut detailed large leaf cluster once, two small detailed rounded leaf die cuts twice, and the small detailed rounded leaf cluster once. Die cut DSP print using half circle die (planter).
Wrap Soft Sea Foam 3/8" ribbon around embossed Calypso Coral panel and tie bow. Slide ribbon so it's positioned approximately 1-1/2" from bottom of panel with bow near right edge. Adhere to Thick Basic White folded card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Position die cut and stamped plants on card front to form a bouquet, adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and mini glue dots. Position die cut "planter" at bottom of plants over ribbon, as shown below. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere "sending hugs" onto planter. Embellish background with Pearl Basic Jewels.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Ink rounded leaf cluster stamp with Calypso Coral, stamp off twice, then stamp onto inside left of folded card base. Cut a 3/4 x 4-1/8 strip of same print used for planter and adhere near bottom of card inside.
I chose the Through It Together stamp set for the message appearing inside and stamped it with Calypso Coral ink.
