This past weekend I attended an online Stampin' Up! event and one of the cards featured was so fun I had to recreate it to share with you. It was using a new set that will be available starting July 1st, so I wanted to use something that you could play with now. I also enjoy finding alternative sets that can be used and still have a card with a very similar outcome.
The thing that makes this card so fun is the easy background created by simply using the side of the brush tip of Stampin' Blends markers. This card uses both the light and dark of Fresh Freesia and Pool Party on Basic White cardstock. So simple! The great part is you can use as many or as few colors as you wish to create the background that will work for what you want to do. The Forever Flourishing dies had just the right die to give me the greenery I wanted, and the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set provided the butterfly, the image stamped on the Fresh Freesia cardstock layer, and also the lovely message on the banner tag.

Here's How It's Made:
Ink tree stamp with Fresh Freesia and stamp onto edge of Fresh Freesia cardstock. Re-ink and repeat going around all edges of cardstock.
Using Light Pool Party Stampin' Blend brush tip side, brush strokes back and forth across top long half of Basic White cardstock panel. Repeat same process on bottom half with Light Fresh Freesia. Using Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blend brush tip side, color over half of the light, with darker color towards center of cardstock. Repeat process on bottom part with Dark Fresh Freesia.
Ink butterfly stamp with Pool Party and stamp one butterfly in the light Pool Party background area and one on the dark. Clean stamp. Ink butterfly stamp with Fresh Freesia and stamp one butterfly on the light Fresh Freesia background and one on the dark.
Apply Sdhesive Sheet strips to Soft Sea Foam cardstock, die cut embossed leaf die twice, with adhesive sheet side down. Cut stems off die cut leaf cluster, remove protective backing and adhere to colored Basic White panel with die cuts facing opposite directions so stem areas are in center.
Ink "finding a friend..." with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamp onto Basic White piece. Using paper snips, cut a slit approximately 3/8" long in center of side, then angle cut from each corner to top of slit to create banner edge. Repeat on other side.
Fold Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon in half and adhere to back of banner with Stampin' Seal. Adhere to Basic White completed panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere panel to Fresh Freesia panel at offset angle, then adhere to Soft Seafoam folded card front.
