Wild Cats Special Moments Diorama

 Greetings!

The Wild Cats bundle features a stamp set with beautiful big cats and individual stamps to create the faces and bodies with stripes or spots.  They are incredibly real looking!

I think Siberian tigers are one of the most gorgeous animals with their white coats and blue eyes, so it was time to create one and make him look like I was seeing him in the wild.  He may not be the "king of the jungle" but he certainly looks majestic!

The Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper provided this perfect jungle print for the foreground, so you feel like you're peeking through the plants to catch a glimpse of this magnificent creature.  The dies in this bundle include these gorgeous plants, which help to create the perception of even more depth surrounding the tiger, and the Layering Diorama dies provide a wonderful soft curvy opening.

As it is SALE-a-bration time (Jan 4 - Feb 28, 2022), I had to include something that you can earn FREE.  The message I chose for the inside of this card is from the Special Moments stamp set, which has a fabulous variety of messages!  The inside is shown further below.

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Smoky Slate cardstock panel to backside of jungle leaf print panel.  Position die (as shown below) onto print and die cut. Adhering a piece of cardstock to the back of the Designer Series Paper gives it more stability when a large piece is being "popped up" with Stampin' Dimensionals or Foam Adhesive Strips.

Die cut scattered branches print with die one size smaller.  Cut off bottom third so it doesn't extend below bottom of card front.
Adhere gray/white blotchy print paper to Smoky Slate cardstock card front.  Adhere smaller diorama piece near bottom edge, using the diorama opening as a guide for positioning.
Adhere front jungle print panel using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up on the card front.  (I used the side pieces of the dimensionals along the outside edges to create an evenly raised edge).
For precise positioning of stamp layers as required with this large cat, I recommend using the Stamparatus™ and printer paper/scrap paper to stamp on while getting the positioning of each stamp correct.  Here's the link for the Stamparatus how-to video created by Stampin' Up!:

Position cat stamp onto paper on Stamparatus base.  Insert plate into top hinges, and bring plate down to pick up the stamp.  Ink with Smoky Slate, stamp onto a scratch piece of paper to stamp off, then stamp onto your paper on the platform.  Make sure magnets are securely holding this piece of paper in place.  Place tiger face stamp on stamped cat, looking through stamp to get aligned (ears are a great area to use for alignment).  Using second plate, place on perpendicular hinge side, bring plate down to pick up face stamp.  Ink with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and stamp onto tiger.  If alignment is where you wish, great, if not, reposition stamp and try again until you are satisfied with the alignment.  Flip plate over to other side, place striped stamp onto tiger, bring plate down to pick up stamp, ink with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, stamp.  If you are happy with your alignment, you now have your test tiger stamps all in place, you can position your Basic White cardstock onto the Stamparatus. Make sure magnets are firmly holding it in place, and begin stamping.  REMEMBER to stamp off onto a piece of scrap paper first before stamping the tiger onto the cardstock, so it's a very soft gray.  Position stamped tiger into coordinating die and die cut.
Color in each side of the eye with the Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write Marker.

Die cut plants from Garden Green and Soft Succulent scraps.  Position and adhere tiger in diorama opening, using Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere tall Garden Green plant behind tiger.  Position small aloe plant in front of tiger, cutting a dimensional in half to adhere.
Embellish with green Genial Gems.  See top photo for placement.
Here's what the inside looks like:

Cut a 4-1/2 x 3 piece of the white/gray splotchy print paper.

Ink "I couldn't wait..." stamp from the Special Moments stamp set with Evening Evergreen and stamp.

Cut a couple aloe plants and vine from Garden Green and Evening Evergreen cardstock scraps and adhere.
