Whimsy & Wonder Holly Jolly Christmas

Greetings!

The Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Papers have an unexpected color palette.  They feature colors you wouldn't necessarily gravitate to when thinking Christmas but after seeing these papers it's easy to change your mind.  It's a lovely variety of pinks, blues and greens with gorgeous touches of silver throughout.

Our team Facebook Live event this past week had a Mystery Card Challenge On the Fly announced at the end.  It's a really simple layout that uses one or two layers of Designer Series Papers and here is my finished result.  These papers make it so fun and happy! The "holly jolly Christmas" greeting from the Christmas To Remember stamp set HAD to be the greeting on the card.

Isn't it festive!  It feels like a party with all those adorable ornaments scattered this way and that along with bows and leaves - oh my!

The Polished Pink color is a wonderful limited time addition (2021-2023 In Color) to the Stampin' Up! colors and has become a favorite.  It's so lovely!  I didn't want the background color for my greeting to be full strength Polished Pink nor did I want Basic White so I had to improvise.  Good thing we have the fabulous Blending Brushes to use!  I lightly brushed Polished Pink ink onto Basic White cardstock to give me the perfect soft pink for the greeting to be stamped onto.  There really is no end to the versatility of how we can use the tools to customize our creations.

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Basic White cardstock panel to card base front, centering.  Adhere both Designer Series Paper pieces, placing at angles as pictured above.
Rub Blending Brush onto Polished Pink ink pad to grab color, softly brush onto Basic White scrap until you achieve the soft shade of pink desired.  Ink greeting stamp with Polished Pink, stamp.  Ink greeting stamp with VersaMark, stamp, sprinkle with Silver Emboss Powder, shake off excess, heat set with Heat Tool.  Fussy cut out words with Paper Snips.
Adhere greeting to card front - pop up "holly jolly" with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
Tie Misty Moonlight/Silver baker's twine into bow and adhere.  I placed the greeting next to an ornament so the bow looks like it's at the top of the ornament while also drawing attention to the greeting.
Add 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to ornaments and near greeting to add sparkle.
The Take Your Pick Tool makes attaching small pieces easy and precise.  Use the Putty Tip for easy grabbing and placement of small embellishments.
Here's what the inside looks like:

Cut 4 x 3 piece of zigzag print, adhere to inside of card.

Ink sentiment with Polished Pink, stamp onto a 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White.  Adhere to print.  Cut out an ornament and adhere near lower right hand size of panels.
