Hello, Hello!
It's a beautiful sunshiny day and Spring is in the air!
Spring to me means happy flowers everywhere and daisies are certainly a flower that brings a smile to my face!
I have loved the Daisy Lane stamp set ever since it came out and wanted to feature it in case I have to bid it a fond farewell soon. We are within the last 6-7 weeks of the current annual catalog which means we'll be saying goodbye to some things in the near future. The Forever Greenery DSP will most likely be retired as well and it is a paper collection that easily works for every season of the year. Pairing these two together to create a springy card is what I am sharing with you today.
A simply happy card
A great feature of this card style is how it shows off your stamped image by extending beyond the folded card base. There's still plenty of room on the inside of the base for you to personalize it with your handwritten note. Another great feature is the gorgeous font for the word friend and it's such a nice size! No need to get wordy when one word will do 😁.
Are you feeling the spring breeze? The beautiful greenery on this background paper feels light and airy with the leaves scattered on the white background. Think of DSP as your assistant! It's a fantastic tool for deciding color combinations, providing wonderful backgrounds or accents that are quick and easy to include, and because they are printed in Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors, you NEVER have to wonder if they will coordinate with your inks, cardstock, markers or embellishments! Stampin' Up! is always the one-stop shop for all of your needs and you can be confident in the coordination of every layer.
This card really packs in a lot of texture. Not only is it suggested with the background paper, but with all the other additions as well. The wooden elements are beautiful and sit behind the daisy perfectly as it is raised on a Stampin' dimensional. The Old Olive/Pretty Peacock reversible ribbon wonderfully enhances the gorgeous blue adhesive-backed gems. These gems are so iridescent! The gems provide a wonderful array of color and the great news is they will be in the new 2021-2022 annual catalog so we get to use them for another year +!! Yippee! They were introduced in the holiday catalog this past winter and I'm very happy they will be available for another year.

- Stamping Off means to stamp the image onto your grid paper once or twice before stamping onto your cardstock. This creates a much softer hue of the ink you are using.
- For placement of the top part of the card, place the folded base in the lower left corner of your grid paper so the bottom edge of the card is on the bottom ruled line. The top folded edge of your card should be on the 4-1/4" grid line. Place the stamped framed image piece so that top edge is on the 5-1/2 measurement and center 1/2" in from either side. This way your card will still fit in the regular envelope as the overall dimension is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
- The DSP is a 4 x 4 piece which gives you a total of 9 pieces out of one sheet of DSP. This is a great size for getting the most out of one 12x12 sheet and avoiding any waste.
- This reversible ribbon is an organdy ribbon which means it has great body to it. Your bows will tie beautifully and once you shaped them how you want them they will hold their shape very well.
- Use the Early Espresso writing tip on your Stampin' Write marker and repeatedly dot the center of the daisy to create the look on this card. For added impact, put little drops of Shimmery Crystal Effects on top. Allow for drying time after you do this step, so resist handling the daisy for at least an hour or two following application.
