Greetings!
This past week my mom was here and we usually make some time to stamp together. She fell in love with the lovely prints and bright colors of the Masterfully Made Designer Series Papers (DSP). When she was here a few weeks ago I had shown her how great it looked to use an embossing folder on a DSP print and she wanted to do that with these prints. After trying a couple different embossing folders we settled on the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.
The fun of trying different embossing folders is that you can insert the embossed paper into a different embossing folder. The pressure is enough it will re-emboss it with the new image making it easy to see which one you like best without using up a bunch of your DSP.
Isn't it lovely! My mom also wanted to use the Wanted to Say dies, which feature different messages, all of which have a detailed die and another die as the outline layer for each message. Going with the Lemon Lime Twist and Pretty Peacock colors makes for a lovely combination, and a simple Scalloped Contour die cut piece to mount it on is all that's used for this card.
I love the way this card turned out and every time I see it I smile because I also have the memory of the fun of making it with my mom. Whether it's a friend, child, parent or someone else in your life, I hope you find the time and the joy in collaborating with someone else and creating special memories and special cards during your time together.
Did you notice there is NO stamping on this card. The beautiful printed paper and the die cut message are all that's needed!
