As I looked through all the new selections with the release of the Jan-April mini catalog, I kept noticing the unique frame with the etchings and triangle points along the edges, and thought, that is so cool! I thought I could live without it, then decided I simply had to have it! These beautiful frames are part of the dies that are included in the Desert Details bundle and now I'm loving everything about the entire bundle!
One of the features that makes this set so lovely are the flowers. They are DISTINKTIVE™ stamps, meaning they are created with different opacities, giving the flower a very three-dimensional look. The coloring in has already been done for us! It's a wonderful feature making your stamping quick and easy, especially with the added convenience of dies to cut them out.
Notice all the gorgeous cutwork detail on the frame! Love, love, love! After cutting the frame out of Crushed Curry to see all the beautiful detail, creating a card was the obvious next step! 😉
The flowers are stamped in Daffodil Delight and you can see how beautiful the shading is on each of them. The flowers and the frame take center stage paired with the brightness of Coastal Cabana. The Dainty Details Designer Series Papers* provides the perfect subtle print for the background and a few Glossy Dots make this card warm and sunny.

Here's How It's Made:
Ink large and small flowers with Daffodil Delight, stamp onto Basic White. Die cut. Die cut aloe plant from Coastal Cabana cardstock, leaving some of the fill in if you wish.
Position small frame inside large frame, making sure it is centered in the opening, and die cut from Crushed Curry cardstock. (you may find it helpful to use a piece or two of clear tape, washi tape or sticky notes to hold the dies in place while die cutting)
Ink message with Bermuda Bay and stamp onto Coastal Cabana DSP print panel, dry fitting frame, so message will be in upper right corner inside frame.
To help with position of stamping when working with rubber stamps, here's what I do. Place the clear block on grid paper, making sure the top edge of the block is aligned along a grid line. Position rubber stamp onto clear block (rubber side up), lining up a line of text with a grid line. Next, ink the stamp, line up the top edge of the block along a grid line and stamp. If the stamp is straight on the grid lines, then re-ink it and stamp onto your project. If it's a little wonky, lift and reposition until it's straight. Taking this extra time ensures you don't ruin a piece of paper or cardstock by stamping a crooked message.
Adhere DSP panel to Coastal Cabana card base front. Adhere frame to panel using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (or cut strips from the border of the dimensionals sheet), centering. Adhere aloe die cut along lower left corner with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Adhere large flower with Stampin' Dimensionals to right of aloe, layer small flower on top lower right edge, adhere.
Embellish with one large and three small Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots inside upper left frame to create sun. Add a small Pool Party Glossy Dot over each hole in triangle of frame.
