Today's card celebrates the beauty and simplicity of leaves. Leaves of all shapes and sizes.
With the release of the July - December mini catalog earlier this summer came the beautiful Soft Seedlings stamp set and Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. The embossing folder is a large 6 x 6 folder, with the leaves scattered at an angle across the folder, so you can have a blank area ready to fill in with your feature image and message. Being a 3D embossing folder, there is a wonderful amount of texture to the leaves and some are raised more than others, giving it a lot of depth. The Soft Seedlings stamp set is such a simple image of a maple leaf with a couple of seedlings to pair beautifully with the embossed background. I used the Rock-n-Roll technique for stamping it, meaning I stamped it in a lighter ink color first (Parakeet Party), then rolled the edges of the stamp in a second darker ink (Granny Apple Green). These two colors are so fun to pair together!
Cutting out the leaf and the "hello" with the Stylish Shapes dies gives it a softness and having the circle cut off on the edge adds a fun characteristic to the overall card.

Gather Your Supplies:
- Soft Seedlings stamp set
- Parakeet Party cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- Crumb Cake cardstock
- Very Vanilla cardstock
- Parakeet Party Classic Stampin' Pad
- Granny Apple Green Classic Stampin' Pad
- 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots

Here's How It's Made:
Emboss Crumb Cake cardstock with Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere to Parakeet Party card base front.
Ink maple leaf stamp with Parakeet Party, then roll stamp edges onto Granny Apple Green ink pad. Stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock panel, leaving room for "hello" stamp. Ink "hello" with Granny Apple Green and stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock. Die cut out both images with circles from the Stylish Shapes dies; largest circle die for leaf, second from smallest circle die for "hello".
Line up leaf circle against right edge, with circle overhanging approximately 1/2". Adhere and cut off overhang with Paper Snips or by lining up edge in Paper Trimmer. Adhere "hello" circle overlapping large circle a bit and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Embellish with a large Parakeet Party Matte Decorative Dot.
Here's what the inside looks like:

Note that the "thinking of you" can be the message on the inside just as easily as a message on the front of your card. Mix things up a bit, and have fun! Remember, it's your creation, so always take what inspires you and change and add to it to make it your own. Enjoy the process.
