Greetings!
I'm excited to be part of this fun Stars Sketch Inspiration Hop. Here is the sketch we are using; the snowflake indicates to use a shape of some type in the area.
For my card I knew I wanted to use the gorgeous tree print from the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Papers (DSP). This paper features beautiful accents of iridescent silver foil stars, trees and decorations on the trees. I wanted to use an unexpected color with the trees and the Cute Stars adhesive-backed sequins inspired me to use Fresh Freesia and Blackberry Bliss. The dancing deer from the Peaceful Deer Bundle continue the whimsical vibe and are so easy to stamp, punch out and pop onto the card.
Aren't they fun! These deer are just too cute! Having two stamped images that both fit in the punch give your creations versatility and the neck wreath adornment adds an additional touch of whimsy.
Starting with a sketch and then letting your creative juices flow is a great way to come up with something new.
Gather Your Supplies:
- Peaceful Deer Bundle (Save 10% when purchasing stamp set & punch with bundle item#)
- Just Jade cardstock
- card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2 OR 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
- Blackberry Bliss

- Basic White cardstock

Here's How It's Made:
Adhere Whimsy & Wonder DSP to Blackberry Bliss panel. Adhere to card front at an angle as shown.
Ink outlined dancing deer with Basic Gray, stamp onto Smoky Slate cardstock, align in punch, punch. Ink "oh what fun" deer with Basic Gray, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, align in punch, punch.
Using Blackberry Bliss and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write Markers, color wreath stamp, breath on to re-moisten ink, stamp onto Basic White scrap. Fussy cut and adhere to neck of outlined deer.
Ink "It's the best..." stamp with Rich Razzleberry, stamp onto Fresh Freesia cardstock piece. Adhere to Blackberry Bliss cardstock piece. Apply adhesive to back of Blackberry Bliss, fold ribbon with ends extending out both sides and press to adhere. Trim excess.
Adhere dancing deer using mini stampin' dimensionals, positioning as pictured.
Adhere tag below deer.
Place Cute Stars adhesive-backed sequins at top of 2-3 trees.
