Circle Celebrations bursting with rhinestones

 Hello!

Spring is arriving with a burst of color!  The rains are bringing all the trees and grasses back to life after their winter hibernation and the flowers are happily bringing forth their color for all to enjoy!

Our fabulous Jan-June 2021 mini catalog is also bursting with beautiful stamp sets, bundles and a wonderful array of gorgeous ideas to bring our creativity to life!

Today I am sharing the Circle Celebration stamp set.  This set offers a fantastic variety of images for you to use as backgrounds as well as focal points.  You truly have unlimited possibilities with this set.  It's an image only set so you'll want to pair it up with a stamp set that has the message you want to convey.  I used  just because from the Lovely You stamp set from the annual catalog. This set is a favorite for sure!  So many sentiments and messages for any occasion along with some great images!

Celebrate with Sparkle!

Do you see Fireworks on a Starry Night?

I love pairing the Balmy Blue color with a red and this time I used Poppy Parade for the dashed circles as well as the card base.  The little flowers are Real Red and the bursts of darker blue are Pacific Point.  To keep the big circles (do they remind you of the moon?!) subtle I stamped off the Balmy Blue twice before stamping onto the Basic White cardstock.  Scattering the entire card with Rhinestones brings in beautiful sparkle.  Do you see the one rhinestone that's different from all the rest? Yep, had to have a red one too! 😉😄

Assembly Tips & Techniques:
  • When creating a background paper remember to stamp over the edges to give the design a cut look.  Stamp your pattern in somewhat of a triangular or random pattern.  Practice on your grid paper first until you find the spacing and color combination that you like best.
  • Stamping off simply means to ink your stamp and stamp onto your grid paper once or twice to remove some of the ink before stamping onto your cardstock.  Play around with it until you find the shade you are looking for.
  • The Take Your Pick Tool is the perfect tool for picking up and placing small embellishments such as the rhinestones.  It's much easier to accurately attach them when you can see them without your fingers getting in the way.
  • Using Vellum Cardstock for the sentiment is a great way to have your sentiment blend in while still being featured.  Placing a circle of Balmy Blue under it helps the sentiment to be more of a focal point while not taking away from the circular design of the card.  The Balmy Blue circle is attached to the vellum with two mini glue dots.  One glue dot is under the big rhinestone and the other one is under the s in just so they don't show.  The message circles are popped up using Stampin' dimensionals under the Balmy Blue circle.
  • When stamping on Vellum, always give your ink time to dry.  If you don't have a heat gun to dry it right away then make sure you stamp it and set it aside while you work on other elements of your design giving it time to dry.
