Beauty of Friendship

 Greetings!

I hope your life is blessed with beautiful friendships!

Today is another sneak peak of a couple products from the new 2021-2022 annual catalog.  Items from the new catalog are in red and will be available to order on May 4, 2021.

The very first product suite (Stamp set, Dies, Embossing Folder and Designer Series Paper) in the catalog is the Beauty of Friendship.  This entire ensemble is GORGEOUS!!  In this sample I've used the Beauty of the Earth DSP in strips for the background along with the "friendships..." sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.  The adorable little birds are from the Free as a Bird Stamp set .  The layout for this card is taken directly from the sample in the new catalog.  I simply switched up the image in the circle to the little birds on the branch.

Feast your eyes on the beautiful paper strips!

These papers are absolutely stunning!  The entire assortment takes you through every season and offers multicolored prints on one side and more monochromatic prints on the reverse sides.  The sentiment is the perfect compliment for the image of the little flock of birds.

Assembly Tips & Techniques:
  • The birds are lightly colored in first with watercolor pencils. The blender pen is used to color over the pencil to blend it and remove the visible pencil lines.  Watercolor pencils and blender pens are the perfect accompaniment to the Free as a Bird stamp set.  You have an affordable variety of colors to work with and the perfect way to color in the birds and images in whatever colors you choose.  Blender pens are reusable with any color - you simply run the tip along your grid paper until it's clear and then it's ready for your next color.
  • **Stamping off simply means to ink your stamp and stamp onto your grid paper once or twice to remove some of the ink before stamping onto your cardstock.  This gives a lighter color to the ink.
  • For even paper strip placement place the center strip first and then space the others evenly on either side.
  • *Whenever you are using a darker color cardstock for your card base, cut a piece of white or vanilla to attach inside to make it easily visible for your handwritten note.
  • Attaching a tied twine bow is easy with a glue dot.  Roll the glue dot into a tube by rolling between your thumb and finger,  attach underneath knot of bow and press down onto card.
