#DOswts443 - Blog Hop Terrific Toadstools You Are Magical Card

Here's today's sketch:


And here's my card:



Today's card features the Terrific Toadstools stamp set and a Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper (DSP) print for the background.

Techniques include two-step stamping and fussy cutting.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Terrific Toadstools stamp set
  • Petal Pink cardstock 
    • card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
    • 4 x 1-1/2
  • Calypso Coral cardstock
    • 4-1/4 x 1-3/4
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock
    • 3-3/4 x 1-1/2
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 2 x 1-3/4 for sentiment 
    • scraps for leaves and bug 
  • Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper 
    • 5-1/2 x 4 panel
  • Shy Shamrock Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
  • Summer Splash 3/8" Bordered ribbon - 18"
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Mini glue dots
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Paper Snips

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere DSP panel to Petal Pink folded card front.  Adhere Petal Pink cardstock to Calypso Coral cardstock, centering.  Wrap ribbon lengthwise around cardstock layers, tie bow, position near left edge, secure in place with mini glue dots.  Adhere to lower half of card front.


Ink ONLY "you are" with Shy Shamrock, stamp near center of Basic White cardstock.  Clean and dry stamp.  Ink ONLY "Magical" with Shy Shamrock, stamp below "you are".  Ink two-stem stamp with Petal Pink, stamp upper part onto bottom left of Basic White cardstock.  Ink ONLY the left two toadstool tops with Calypso Coral, stamp at top of Petal Pink stems.  Ink leaves with Shy Shamrock, stamp twice onto Basic White cardstock scraps, fussy cut with Paper Snips.


Adhere Mossy Meadow cardstock, vertically, over ribboned cardstock pieces, right of bow.  Adhere Basic White sentiment piece with Stampin' Dimensionals, partially covering Mossy Meadow, extending over ribbon and extending above Calypso Coral. 


Adhere two fussy cut leaves at upper right corner of Basic White piece. Ink bug body with Shy Shamrock, stamp onto Basic White scrap. Ink bug top/small toadstool top with Memento Ink, stamp onto top part of bug.  Fussy cut bug out and adhere below right of sentiment on Basic White piece.
