Love of Leaves Thinking of You

Greetings!

Sometimes you simply need a quick little note to send off to someone and of course you want it to be enclosed in a lovely handmade card!

The Love of Leaves Stamp Set and coordinating Stitched Leaves Dies are a perfect duo to create beautiful cards for this time of year.  These leaves work beautifully with the In The Wild Designer Series Papers (DSP). The fun fold is simply a fold back of 1-1/4" on the card front which creates a quick way to decorate the front and inside at the same time while showing off these gorgeous papers.

Beautiful Stitched Leaves for Fall

The Matte Decorative Dots provide a great accent with their fun colors and multiple sizes to choose from.  With so many color variations to the dots they coordinate with much more than the four colors listed.

Here's How It's Made:
Fold card front back at 1-1/4" score line.  Adhere to card front.
Using a bone folder makes folds crisp without adding shine to cardstock.
Dye Linen Thread by pressing onto Evening Evergreen ink pad and rubbing around until completely dyed.  Set aside to dry.
To protect fingers from getting stained with ink, wear a latex/rubber glove or use a piece of cling wrap.
Adhere one strip of In The Wild DSP to front folded strip, and second strip on right side of inside of card, leaving a 1/8" border on outer edges.
Die cut 3 leaves.  Position and adhere to one another with mini glue dots. Wrap dyed Linen Thread around stems, knot, add in piece of Evening Evergreen ribbon, and tie Linen Thread into a bow over it.
Adhere leaf cluster to front of card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Embellish with Matte Decorative Dots, using the Take Your Pick tool for easy placement.
The Take Your Pick Tool makes attaching small pieces easy and precise.  Use the Putty Tip for easy grabbing and placement of small embellishments.
Here's what the inside looks like:

Cut Basic White cardstock 5-1/4" x 2-3/4" and adhere to left side.
Ink message with Evening Evergreen and stamp.
Cut 1/2" x 2-3/4" strip of DSP and adhere near bottom edge of Basic White piece.  (This print is the reverse side)
Die cut two leaves from Soft Succulent and Bumblebee scraps and adhere on strip.
