Greetings!
Today's card features a wonderfully quick and easy background while showcasing your favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP). What's even more great is that the pieces used for the background are half of what you cut, so you have pieces left to make another card without further cutting! Bonus!
This layout was CASEd from a card that demonstrator Patricia Dominicci made. It's such a lovely idea that I had to make one to share with you! This card uses the Wild Cats Bundle and the stunning In the Wild Designer Series Paper (DSP). These papers have such a fun combination of colors and also have big cats sized to be cut out with the dies! So cool!

Gather Your Supplies:
- Wild Cats Bundle (Save 10% when purchasing stamp set & dies with bundle item#)
- Sunny Sentiments Stamp Set
- Wintry 3D Embossing Folder
- Basic White Thick cardstock
- card base 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2" OR 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4"
- Merry Merlot cardstock
- 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" square, cut on diagonal from corner to opposite corner
- 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" square, cut on diagonal from corner to opposite corner
- In the Wild Designer Series Paper
- 4" x 4" square, cut on diagonal from corner to opposite corner
- 1 large cat die cut from paper
- Merry Merlot Classic Stampin' Pad

Here's How It's Made:
Align Designer Series Paper triangle layer to large piece of Merry Merlot triangle cardstock with longest edge matching, so two angled sides have 1/8" border. Adhere to folded edge of card front. (Long edges will extend at top and bottom. Make sure both are extended evenly. Adhere and cut off extended pieces)
Align small Merry Merlot triangle along opposite edge of card front, making sure it is evenly spaced from top and bottom edges. Adhere.
The designer series paper with the cats that fit in the dies have the cats facing both directions. To get the cat facing the direction shown on this card, hold up the sheet of Designer Series Paper to a light source, such as a window or computer screen. You'll be able to see the cat from the backside of the paper. Place die over cat outline and hold in place, or use a post it note or two to hold in place. Run through Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Adhere cat using Stampin' Dimensionals, centered over the intersection of the two triangle tips.
Ink stamp with Merry Merlot. Stamp under cat.
Attach In Color Square Gems using the Take Your Pick tool.
The Take Your Pick Tool makes attaching small pieces easy and precise. Use the Putty Tip for easy grabbing and placement of small embellishments.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Cut a strip of Merry Merlot cardstock 1-1/4" x 4-1/8". Cut a strip of Designer Series Paper 1" x 4", adhere to Merry Merlot. Adhere near bottom of inside of card.
Ink message with Merry Merlot. Stamp.
