Summer Shadows and Penguin Playmates friendship card

 Greetings!

This season's Sale-a-bration products are designed to coordinate with stamp sets from both the 2021-2022 annual catalog and the July-December mini catalog, giving you even more creative options.  Today's card features the Summer Shadows dies (a Sale-a-bration item) which coordinate with the Shaded Summer stamp set (annual catalog) and uses the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Papers (DSP) (a Sale-a-bration item) for the colorful layers.  The Penguin Playmates DSP are full of adorable creatures on one side which coordinate with the Penguin Place Bundle (mini catalog) while the reverse side offers beautiful patterns you can use with any stamp set.  

No stamping required to create these beautiful flowers!

Look how cute these flowers are cut out of the polka dotted paper!  And do you see the leaves also have a tone-on-tone feature to them?  This die set is designed for layering with one image being a fuller piece and the second layer providing the details.  

Gather Your Supplies:

• Shaded Summer stamp set
• Summer Shadows dies ((FREE with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-bration)

• Fresh Freesia cardstock - 5-1/2" x  8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4", 3" x 3" piece for flowers
• Penguin Playmates DSP (FREE with $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration) 
•  4" x 5-1/4" dots layer, 3-3/4" x 5" striped layer, 3" x 3" dots for flowers, 2" x 2" dashes for leaves
• Basic White cardstock - 3" x 4-3/8"
• Just Jade cardstock - 1-1/2" x 2" for leaves

Here's How It's Made:

Die cut flowers and leaves.  Apply small dabs of multipurpose liquid glue to backside of cardstock layers, position over DSP die cuts, press down to adhere.

Adhere dots and stripes layers to Fresh Freesia card base front.  

Ink sentiment with Misty Moonlight.  Stamp onto lower right area of Basic White cardstock.  Adhere to card front.  Position flowers and leaves, adhere.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Ink message with Misty Moonlight, stamp onto 4" x 5-1/4" Basic White cardstock piece.  Adhere to inside of card.

Cut strip of dots paper 3/4" x 4".  Adhere as shown.  Die cut flower and small leaf from Penguin Playmates DSP prints.  Adhere as shown.
