Greetings!
Today is the last day to take advantage of the FREE items available during Sale-a-bration.
The Peaceful Prints Designer Series Papers (DSP) are one of the beautiful items you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase. Even though these papers are in primarily Christmas colors, as you can see, they can be used for so much more! For this card today I used the paper print that looks like birch trees. After trying to figure out how to incorporate it with the Beauty of Friendship trees, I decided to simply let it be the layer I did the stamping on and I love the way it turned out! I hope you do too!
Quick, Easy and Beautiful!
Isn't it gorgeous! These trees from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set are so lovely! It's great when a stamp set has a separate stamp for each layer so you can easily make the completed image. This tree is comprised of three stamps. One stamp for the trunk and two stamps for the leaves making it so easy to give your trees amazing color and dimension. For the leaves at the base of the trees I simply turned the leaves stamp upside down and filled in the bottom edge. Easy peasy!

Here's How It's Made:
Ink tree trunk stamp with Sahara Sand and stamp onto Designer Series Paper. Repeat twice.
Ink filled in leaf stamp (the one pictured in the middle of the stamp set above) with So Saffron. Stamp onto the top of each tree.
Ink scattered leaf stamp with Daffodil Delight. Stamp over top of So Saffron layer. Stamp over a second one without re-inking, then re-ink and stamp over the third tree. This gives even more dimension and variation to the trees.
Use both leaf stamps upside down, ink and stamp along bottom of tree trunks. Stamp two or three times without re-inking to give the leaves multiple shades.
Adhere Daffodil Delight cardstock layer to Crumb Cake card front. Adhere Crushed Curry cardstock layer, centering vertically and horizontally. Adhere stamped Designer Series Paper layer, centering on front of card.
Multipurpose liquid glue is a great way to adhere your layers. Simply run multiple beads on the back of your layer and press gently down. The glue holds well and won't ripple your layers. NOTE: This glue dries tacky so keep your beads of glue minimal near edges to avoid sticky cards.
Here's what the inside looks like:
Stamp "friendships..." with Sahara Sand in center.
Grid Paper protects your work surface and makes alignment of layers a breeze with built in grid and ruler edges.
Ink tree trunk with Sahara Sand and stamp tree tops on each side. Ink one of the leaf stamps with Daffodil Delight and stamp over tree top.
Adhere to inside of card.
