Rustic Centerpiece Happy Christmas Card

Greetings!

Today's card features this adorable image from the Rustic Centerpiece stamp set.

Techniques include coloring with Stampin' Blends, an embossed layer for the background panel and an easy way to add the Gold Shaker Stars to the tree.

For coloring with Stampin' Blends, I recommend using the Basic White Thick cardstock, to avoid any rippling of the cardstock from the coloring.

Here's How It's Made:

Emboss light side of two-tone Pecan Pie cardstock, adhere to folded card front.

Ink reindeer/tree image with Early Espresso, stamp onto Basic White Thick cardstock.  To color as shown, use Stampin' Blends listed here:
  • Tree  - Lt Mossy Meadow
  • Wood Base - Dk Crumb Cake over entire piece, then fill in edge and some detail with Dk Pecan Pie
  • Pot - Dk & Lt Smoky Slate
  • Dirt in Pot - Dk Smoky Slate & Dk Pecan Pie
  • Deer - Dk & Lt Pecan Pie
  • Antlers - Dk Smoky Slate
  • Candle & Holder - Lt Soft Sea Foam for candle, Dk Soft Sea Foam for candle holder, add a little Lt Granny Apple Green for shading detail
  • Flame - Lt Daffodil Delight
  • Holly Leaves - Lt & Dk Granny Apple Green
  • Holly Berries - Lt & Dk Real Red

Ink Happy & Christmas with Real Red, stamp in upper left corner of panel, adhere panel to Mossy Meadow cardstock, adhere to folded card front, centering on embossed layer.

On the Silicone Craft Sheet, apply tiny drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue 1/2" apart, then place Gold Shaker Stars on top of each drop of glue, allow to dry. If glue is drying before you attach star, it's okay,  it will still stick and work just fine to add to your card. This glue remains tacky, but is much easier to work with these small items by giving them a tacky backing.  There are more than shown for one card, as I made multiples of this same card.  I used 13 stars on each tree.

Using the Putty Tip on the Take Your Pick Tool, grab a star and place it onto the tree until you have an assortment adorning your tree.

Tie ribbon into a knot, trim, adhere under the sentiment in the upper left corner.
