Amber Autumn 4-square Thanksgiving Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Amber Autumn dies and Gathering Together Designer Series Papers (DSP) using a template found on page 14 of the Sep-Dec 2025 mini catalog for the layout.



Techniques include die cutting and paper piecing.

To get the Happy Thanksgiving message, I used "Happy" from the Words for the Season stamp set, and "Thanksgiving" from the Choose Happy stamp set. 

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Words for the Season
  • Choose Happy stamp set
  • Amber Autumn dies
  • Basic Beige cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
    • 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 panel for background die
    • 2 x 1-7/8
  • Crushed Curry cardstock
    • 2 x 2 with adhesive sheet for leaf and plant die cuts
  • Early Espresso cardstock
    • 2 x 1 with adhesive sheet for leaf die cut 
  • Gathering Together Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 Early Espresso tree bark print
    • 2 x 1-7/8 beige & gold elements on white print
    • 1-5/8 x 1-1/2 two tone Cajun Craze small leaf print
    • 1-5/8 x 1-1/2 yellow/rust/brown leaves & mushrooms on beige background
  • Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Adhesive Sheets
  • Iridescent Foil Gems
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Die cut Basic Beige panel with large scattered leaves die, centering die in cardstock.  Adhere to folded card front.

Note:  Both DSP print and Basic Beige cardstock should be positioned in portrait orientation for the following directions.

Adhere Crushed Curry die cut plant to left half of DSP print.  Ink "happy" with Daffodil Delight, stamp near top of Basic Beige cardstock, ink "Thanksgiving" with Early Espresso, stamp below "happy".  Die cut a leaf from Early Espresso and Crushed Curry cardstock.


Adhere pieces to Early Espresso DSP panel as follows:
  • DSP with plant - upper left, extending over left edge 1/4"
  • Cajun Craze print - upper right, extending above top edge 1/4" (make sure piece is in landscape orientation)
  • Mushrooms/leaves DSP print - lower left, extending below bottom 1/4" (make sure piece is in landscape orientation)
  • Basic Beige cardstock - lower right, extending over right edge 1/4"+ (attach with Stampin' Dimensionals)

Adhere assembled panel to card front.  Adhere leaves below greeting on Basic Beige cardstock piece, adding center of leaf die cut to leaf if you wish for contrast.


Embellish with Iridescent Foil Gems.
