Branching Out Banner Hello Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Branching Out stamp & die bundle and Elegant Pines Snowflakes Designer Series Papers (DSP).

Techniques include two-step stamping and die cutting as well as multiple coloring techniques.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Branching Out bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Stylish Shapes dies
  • Cherry Cobbler cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Pecan Pie cardstock
    • 1-3/4 square for berry branch & pine cone die cuts
  • Pretty Peacock cardstock
    • 3 x 2 pine branch die cut
  • Lost Lagoon cardstock
    • 3-3/4 x 1-1/4 banner die cut (largest banner die)
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 3-3/4 x 2-1/4 for front label die cut (2nd smallest die)
    • 5 x 3-3/4 for inside panel 
  • Elegant Pines Snowflakes Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 5-3/8 x 4 snowflakes on dark background print
    • 4 x 3/4 strip for inside
  • Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Shaded Spruce Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend
  • Low Profile Sparkle Dots
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Mini glue dots
  • Sponge duaber
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Center second largest label die inside Cherry Cobbler card front, die cut.  Ink small splatter stamp with Cherry Cobbler, stamp all around edges of card front, re-inking for each stamping.  Apply adhesive along die cut edge on inside, adhere DSP panel.




Ink smaller branch with Pecan Pie, stamp about 3/4" from left edge of Basic White die cut panel.  Ink tighter 3-cluster needle stamp with Shaded Spruce, stamp onto lower branch ends.  Ink more spaced out 3-cluster needle stamp with Shaded Spruce, stamp onto upper branch ends.  


Die cut berry branch and two pine cones from Pecan Pie cardstock.  Die cut pine needle branch from Pretty Peacock cardstock.  Ink sponge dauber with Pecan Pie, tap color onto pine cones.  Color berries with Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend.



Adhere die cut branch over stamped branch, with mini glue dots.  Adhere pine cones as shown at top of die cut and hanging from bottom stamped branch end. Adhere berry branch just above branch split with mini glue dots.  NOTE: Placement is specified so banner doesn't cover up die cuts.  Mini glue dots show in picture below on branches, but they will be covered by the banner.


Adhere assembled Basic White label to center front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Cut ends of banner 3/4" from tips, ink Hello with Pretty Peacock, stamp onto center piece.  Apply adhesive to back edges of center piece, adhere ends slightly below to create folded banner look.


Adhere banner to card front between top of bottom pine cone and bottom of berry branch, centering side to side.


Embellish with blue low profile sparkle dots.

Here's what the inside looks like:


Ink message with Pretty Peacock, stamp in upper center of Basic White cardstock panel.  Adhere panel to inside of card.  Adhere DSP strip near bottom of panel.  NOTE: Reverse side of front DSP shows on the inside front of card.
