Planted Paradise Elements of Text Weathered Look All Occasion Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Planted Paradise and Elements of Text stamp sets and Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Techniques include shading and coloring with Blending Brushes, embossing and torn edges. 

Gather Your Supplies:

• Elements of Text stamp set
• Planted Paradise stamp set
• Crumb Cake cardstock 
• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Basic Beige cardstock
• 4 X 2-3/4
• Old Olive cardstock
• 3-3/4 x 3-1/2
• scrap
• Nature's Sweetness Designer Series Paper 
• 5 x 4
• Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad
• Basic Beige Classic Stampin' Pad
• Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
• Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder
• Linen Thread - 30"
• Earth Tones Shimmer Gems
• Blending Brushes
• Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Lightly color edges of Crumb Cake folded card front with Pecan Pie ink and Blending Brush.

Ink long rectangle shaped text stamp with Basic Beige, stamp off once, stamp onto Basic Beige cardstock.  Ink small based flower pot with Pecan Pie, stamp in lower half over text.  Ink 3-leaf stamp with Old Olive, stamp at top of flower pot.  Tear all four edges of Basic Beige cardstock down to edges of text stamping.  Lightly color some edges with Pecan Pie, using Blending Brush.

Ink single leaf stamp with Old Olive, stamp onto Old Olive cardstock, re-ink and stamp one more leaf.  Fussy cut leaves, leaving no cardstock border along edges.  Snip off bottoms to straight edges.

Adhere leaves at top edge of planter, overlapping each other, on top of 3-leaf stamped image.

Using Blending Brushes and both Old Olive and Pecan Pie inks, blend color onto DSP piece to shade.  Tear off right edge, color with ink and Blending Brush.  

Emboss with Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder, adhere DSP panel to card front, centering.  

Tear one long edge of Old Olive cardstock, wrap linen thread around length of panel three times, leaving cut ends long at top and bottom.  Adhere to DSP layer, centering.  Adhere Basic Beige layer over Old Olive, with Stampin' Dimensionals, centering.

Knot and fray cut ends of Linen thread.  Embellish with Beige colored Shimmer Gems.
