Friends for Life Choose Happy Kissing Technique Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the Friends for Life stamp & die bundle, and the Choose Happy stamp set.

The kissing technique is used for the two bunnies facing each other inside the heart. Aren't they sweet!?

I haven't done this technique in years!  The new Kiss of Texture stamp set is designed for this technique and the little bunnies from the Choose Happy stamp set provided the perfect image to play with.  All the details are listed below in the Here's How It's Made section.  I hope this encourages you to try this technique and have fun!

Here's How It's Made:

Ink bunny with Memento Ink, stamp onto circle stamp from Kiss of Texture stamp set, then stamp that image onto the Basic White cardstock panel, a little left of center.

Ink bunny stamp and stamp onto Basic White cardstock so image is facing other bunny, leaving a little space between them.

Place large heart die around the bunnies, die cut.  Trim Basic White panel down to a finished size of 5 x 3-1/2, with bunnies in heart fairly centered.  Adhere to Melon Mambo cardstock panel.

Color tummy of bunnies with Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend, and inner ear with Light Bubble Bath Stampin' Blend.  Ink heart stamp from Choose Happy stamp set with Melon Mambo, stamp three around die cut heart, at various angles.

Die cut small hearts from Pretty In Pink and Melon Mambo using the small two-heart die.  Adhere hearts in area around large heart.

Ink "Love You" with Melon Mambo, stamp onto center of Basic White cardstock strip.  At each side of sentiment, score a line, then score another line 1/4" out from first score line.

Fold cardstock back and under at score lines nearest sentiment, then fold back out at second score line.  Cut 1/4" line at short ends, trim at diagonal from corners to create banner edges.

Adhere banner under bunnies, making sure to adhere so folded edges keep banner popped up.

Embellish background with White and Light Pink sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this kissing technique and the cute card.  The new Kiss of Texture stamp set has three solid rubber stamp shapes; a banner, square and circle, as well as patterned images to use.  It's a great set and makes it easy to practice "kissing" with images from stamp sets you have that you'd love to be able to mirror.  Getting a nice solid image onto the rubber is key to having a successful "kissed" image, so allow yourself extra cardstock when using this technique.  Starting with the kissed image first makes it easier to place the other image at the correct position from it.
