inkin' fun with Beverly: Hat's Off to Your Next Adventure

Greetings!

With the release of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog this spring came the versatile new Hat's Off stamp set and Hat Builder Dies. This set features an adorable large baseball hat!

It's perfect for celebrating occasions and adventures for all ages.

This card is loaded with visual texture which is in large part due to the In Good Taste Designer Series Papers (DSP). Cherry Cobbler cardstock compliments the painted texture paper very well and the hat is cut from the "concrete" paper which gives it a subtle aged look. A little bling and a couple of stars add a celebratory feel, and the ribbon tied in a bow completes the feminine vibe.

The wood background paper is also from the In Good Taste DSP and this card brings in even more texture with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The stars are a great accent, with two of them cut from the Crushed Curry layer before it was embossed so the Mossy Meadow layer peaks through. The detail of the hat stamp along with the stitching from the die gives it such a realistic look! You feel like you could pull it off the card and put it on your head!

Card base - 4-1/4 x 8-1/2, scored and folded at 4-1/4

Cherry Cobbler for top card, scraps for stars
Early Espresso for bottom card

In Good Taste DSP - 4 x 4 piece for card base layer on both cards
4 x 3-1/4 for popped up piece

Gray Granite for top card
Mossy Meadow for bottom card

Basic White -3-3/4 x 3 for top card pop-up layer, scrap for badge
Crushed Curry - 3-3/4 x 2-1/2 for bottom card pop-up layer, scraps for stars
Basic White - 3 x 3-1/2 for bottom card hat, scrap for badge

Ink:

Cherry Cobbler, **stamped off once, for top card.
Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow for bottom card

Assembly Tips & Techniques:

Stamp hat, line up die so lines are showing in openings. Die cut.
Stamp and die cut badge. Adhere to hat.
Adhere DSP layer to card base. With card base folded closed, adhere pop up layer. Top edge of pop-up layer should measure no more than 5-1/2" from bottom of card base.
Adhere layer on pop-up, attach hat and stars as shown. Adhere embellishments.
**Stamping off is stamping onto scrap or grid-paper first before stamping on to cardstock. This gives the ink a lighter color.
