Welcome to my first Blog Hop!
The A Touch of Ink stamp set has very quickly become a favorite of mine! Pairing it with the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper gives me a wonderful color selection to work with, and here is just one of the many cards I have made using these two items together:
The random sizes and colors of the circles make for a great background. To keep it soft I layered Vellum over it and did my stamping and layering on the Vellum. It's a quick and easy card and I'm excited to share more samples using this product pairing on January 16th!

I wanted to make a card that had a softer feel to it and layering the vellum over the background paper was my way to accomplish the effect. Pairing it with the Seaside Spray for the card base helped keep it soft and subtle.
The leaves stamp is a large enough stamp to hold it's own as an image and works well to stamp it twice in opposite directions as I have done to create a background for adding the flowers as the focal point.
*What does fussy cut mean? It means cutting something out the old fashioned way - using scissors to carefully cut around the image you want. 😉
Quick tips:
- When stamping on vellum, give the ink time to dry before handling, or use your Heat Embossing Tool to quickly dry the ink before assembling.
- "Hide" the adhesive on the vellum layer by applying it to an area that will have something on top of it so it doesn't show through.
- I stamped off for the greeting, meaning I inked the stamp, stamped it on a scratch paper first, before stamping on to the label to give the Rococo Rose ink a more subtle color.
