Nature's Symphony Thinking of You Z-Fold Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Nature's Symphony bundle and Nature Walk DSP in a front panel z-fold.



Techniques include die cutting from DSP prints and two-step stamping.

Beverly's Tip of the Day

Expand your selection of greetings you have available by having stamps sets that are messages only.  This gives you the option to add a message onto your card beyond what's available with the stamp set you're using for your images.  

The Simply Said stamp set is a great addition to have on hand.  It features a few messages in script style and a few in text form, so you can choose the font style that best fits the theme of your card.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Nature's Symphony bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Simply Said stamp set
  • Basic Beige cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 2-1/8 & 4-1/4
    • 2-1/4 x 3/4 for message
  • Pecan Pie cardstock
    • 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 panel
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock
    • 3 x 1-1/4 
  • Nature's Symphony Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • 4-1/4 x 3-1/4 script print
    • 5-1/4 x 1-7/8 greens & beiges mottled print
    • 5-1/4 x 4 beige grid print
    • 4-1/4 x 3 greens & beiges mottled print for leaf die cut
  • Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Old Olive Linen Thread
  • Earthy Matte Dots
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere script print DSP to Pecan Pie cardstock panel.  Die cut large leafy branch from DSP, adhere to panel.



Card base should be folded back onto itself at the 2-1/8 scored line, and folded closed at the 4-1/4 scored line to create the z-fold.  

On the front piece, adhere the 5-1/4 x 1-7/8 DSP print, and on inside back panel, adhere the beige grid DSP print.  On the in-between piece, ink the texture stamp with Pecan Pie, stamp off once, stamp onto lower area.  Ink small branch with Mossy Meadow, stamp over texture.


Die cut Mossy Meadow cardstock with woodgrain die.  Ink "thinking of you" with Pecan Pie, stamp onto left side of Basic Beige cardstock, tear off right edge.

Apply adhesive to back of Basic Beige message piece, loop Old Olive linen thread around and press onto adhesive, then apply another layer of adhesive to secure thread, adhere to Mossy Meadow woodgrain die cut.


Adhere Pecan Pie panel to card front, making sure to apply adhesive only to the left area.


Embellish with Early Espresso Earthy Matte Dots.



The grid print DSP is light enough to easily write your message on.  If you prefer, you can certainly add another layer inside for your handwritten message.  Just make sure the panel is small enough to hide under the front panel when the card is closed.
