Florals In Bloom DSP Patchwork Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Florals In Bloom Designer Series Papers (DSP) and a greeting from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

Techniques include paper piecing in a patchwork style background with a simple greeting on a punched circle piece of cardstock.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Beautiful Motifs stamp set
• Strawberry Slush cardstock 
• card base 5-3/8 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Basic White cardstock
• 4-7/8 x 3-3/4
• 1-3/4 circle 
• Peach Pie cardstock
• 5 x 3-7/8
• Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper 
• 1-5/8 x 1-1/4 (3) select a floral print and two coordinating patterned prints
• Strawberry Slush Classic Stampin' Pad
• Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon - 8-1/2"
• Brushed Brass Butterflies
• Paper Trimmer
• Stampin' Seal
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• 1-3/4" Circle Punch

Here's How It's Made:

Apply adhesive around all four sides of Basic White cardstock panel, and also apply strips from side to side every inch or so from top to bottom to create base for DSP pieces. (I do not recommend using liquid glue as it can ripple the DSP pieces).  Place DSP with feature print at upper left, then two patterns beside, in middle row, begin with right pattern, then feature print, and remaining pattern.  Bottom row will be both patterns with feature print at bottom right, with all pieces butted up at edges to completely cover Basic White cardstock panel.  Trim off any extending pieces.

Adhere finished panel to Peach Pie cardstock, then adhere to Strawberry Slush folded card front.  Ink "you've been on my mind" with Strawberry Slush, stamp onto 1-3/4 circle, apply adhesive to back of circle, zig zag ribbon, adhere to lower right of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Embellish with large and small Brushed Brass Butterflies.

Here's an alternative combination using prints from the same DSP with a Pool Party layer and Misty Moonlight card base.  Cloud Cover Faux Linen ribbon, Misty Moonlight ink for the greeting, and Timid Tiger Flat Pearls for the embellishment.
