Botanical Textures Gallery Blooms Fun Fold Birthday Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Gallery Blooms stamp & die bundle and Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Techniques include a fun fold and a shadow layer die cut.



Gather Your Supplies:

  • Gallery Blooms Bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • The Right Words stamp set
  • Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper print
    • card base 12 x 5-1/2; scoring and folding details below
  • Pretty In Pink cardstock
    • 5-1/2 x 1 (2) 
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 4-1/4 x 2-1/2 for flower die cut
    • 5-1/4 x 4 for inside panel
  • Basic Black cardstock
    • 4-1/4 x 2-1/2 
  • Soft Sea Foam 
    • 2-1/8 x 5/8
  • Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
  • Pretty In Pink Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends Combo Pack
  • White Baker's Twine - 9"
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin' Pierce Mat
  • Scoring Tool
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Here's How It's Made:

Score DSP at 2-1/2, 6-3/4 & 9-7/8.  Fold at 2-1/2 and 6-3/4 score lines towards each other to create card, then fold back at 9-7/8 score line to create front panel.


Adhere Pretty In Pink cardstock strips to front panel, leaving 1/4-3/8 exposed at each edge.  Adhere front panel to left front card front.


Ink large flower stamp with Memento Ink, stamp onto Basic White cardstock.  To ensure even, solid stamping, place Stampin' Pierce Mat under cardstock, press stamp firmly and hold for a second or two before lifting, die cut.  Color flower as follows:
  • Flowers - Light and Dark Pretty In Pink
  • Flower centers - Dark Flirty Flamingo
  • Leaves - Light and Dark Granny Apple Green
Die cut Basic Black cardstock using same flower die.  Layer behind colored flower, offsetting about 1/8 inch to create shadow effect.


Adhere to upper front panel of card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Ink Happy Birthday with Memento Ink, stamp onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  Adhere near bottom of center panel.


Color White Baker's Twine with Dark Pretty In Pink Stampin' Blend, allow to dry, tie into bow and adhere at stem of flower.


Here's what the inside looks like:


Ink "to someone worth..." with Memento Ink, stamp on upper center of Basic White cardstock panel.  Ink small flower with Memento Ink, stamp in lower right corner of panel.  Color with Stampin' Blends.  Adhere to inside of card.
