Hobby Haven Sending Good Vibes Tall Easel Card

Greetings!

Today's card features cut-outs and prints from the Hobby Haven Designer Series Papers and leafy die cuts from the Creative Haven dies.  The textured background is the Glass embossing folder, which paired with the grid print enhances the botanicals with classic geometric patterns.  Message is from The Right Words stamp set.

Techniques include die cutting, embossing and a tall easel fun fold.

This card is a great example of the versatility and coordination Stampin' Up! products have.  The ribbon, twine, embellishments, and embossing folders all came from earlier releases and when pulled together with elements from the  new online exclusive Hobby Haven Suite Collection, create a stunning ensemble.

Hobby Haven Notes & Totes Spa Gift Card Holder Card

Greetings!

Today's card features pre-cut & fussy cut pieces from the Hobby Haven Designer Series Papers (DSP) and images & messages from the Notes & Totes stamp set.  This card has a special pocket inside to hold a gift card.

Techniques include background stamping, accent scoring, fussy cutting, and gift card pocket.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Notes & Totes stamp set
  • Crumb Cake cardstock
    • card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2
    • 5-1/4 x 4-1/4 for gift card holder (scoring detail below)
  • Mossy Meadow cardstock
    • 4 x 3-1/4
  • Hobby Haven Designer Series Paper (DSP)
    • spa product pre-cut
    • rolled towel - fussy cut
  • Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad
  • 1-3/4" circle punch
  • Tear & Tape adhesive
  • Simply Scored scoring tool
  • Paper Trimmer
=============================================================
Here's How It's Made:

Ink multi flower stamp with Crumb Cake, stamp onto folded card front, starting at a corner, re-ink and stamp next to previous stamped image, continuing until whole front is stamped, to create allover background.

To create scored line detail on Mossy Meadow cardstock panel, score lengthwise at 2, 2-1/8 & 2-1/4.  This works best with the Simply Scored tool so score lines are even, and stylus creates a wider, deeper score line than using the scoring tool on the Paper Trimmer.  However, the Paper Trimmer works well too.  Ink "relax & enjoy" with Early Espresso, stamp below score lines.

To create gift card holder, score Crumb Cake cardstock at 1-1/2 & 3-3/4 on long edge.  Flip 90 degrees, and score 3/4" from edge.

Cut at score lines just up to 3/4" score line, then fold both sides to back (there will be overlap).  Inserting punch a little more than 1/4", punch at top center of card holder, then fold one side to back, line up punch, punch, fold back out, repeat with other side. (You have to do one layer at a time, because it's too thick to do them all at once.)

Ink "you earned it" with Early Espresso, stamp in center of gift card holder front.  Ink drops stamp with Mossy Meadow, stamp at upper left, re-ink, stamp at lower right of message.

Apply tear & tape adhesive to edge of one side, remove protective backing, fold other side over and adhere, to create pocket.  Bottom flaps will be free.

Apply tear & tape adhesive to inside edges of bottom flaps, adhere near inside center fold of card (leave a slight space so card can fold closed)

Adhere spa products pre-cut on Mossy Meadow panel above score lines.  Adhere fussy cut towel at bottom right of sentiment on front of card.
