Today's card features the Delicate Dahlias stamp set.  The Dahlia was the perfect flower choice, as it comes in a multitude of colors so you simply have to decide what color you want to make it.  It is a DistINKtive ™ stamp which means it creates different opacities in a single stamped image.  This feature gives your flower a very dimensional look.  It's also a two-step stamp so the flower has the petal fill in one stamp and the petal outline is a separate stamp.  These features give you endless variety for your creations.

How gorgeous is that flower!  The lovely long-stem die cut flowers to accompany it are from the Harvest Dies and the sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set.  The Lovely Labels Pick a Punch gives the tag beautiful edges, and the Artistry Blooms adhesive-backed sequins add a little sparkle.  See how wonderfully all these different elements work together to create this lovely card!

Here's How It's Made:

Ink flower with Fresh Freesia, stamp near lower left quarter of Fresh Freesia cardstock.  Ink flower outline stamp with Blackberry Bliss, lining up petals, stamp.

Die cut long stems out of 2" x 4" piece of Blackberry Bliss.  Cut apart and cut off little tabs that attach each stem together.  Position to the right of flower.  Adhere using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

TIP: Little dabs of liquid glue on small pieces is a great way to prevent too much glue on the piece you are working with. 

Ink sentiment with Fresh Freesia, center in Basic White 3/4" x 4" piece, stamp.  Insert each end into Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.  Punch.  Position and adhere using Stampin' Dimensionals.

For added sparkle, brush flower petals with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  Adhere Artistry Blooms adhesive-backed sequins.

Ink and stamp both layers of  a portion of flower in lower right corner, using the same colors as on card front.

Are you a Designer Series Paper freak like I am?  I always think, no...I don't need that paper...and then I see it in real life and suddenly I have to have it!  The Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Series Paper (DSP) was in that category for me!

Here's How It's Made:

Ink flower cluster stamp with Petal Pink, then ink a sponge dauber with Flirty Flamingo and dab onto areas of flowers.  Ink another sponge dauber with Cinnamon Cider and dab onto leaves and stem.  Hold inked stamp near mouth and breathe a couple quick breaths to evenly moisten ink.  Stamp onto Basic White cardstock near an edge to leave room for stamping message.  Die cut.

Ink message with Cinnamon Cider, stamp onto Basic White cardstock, align in punch.  Punch out.

Ink single branch with Cinnamon Cider, stamp onto corner of plank paper.

Insert one end of Cinnamon Cider cardstock strip into Label Me Fancy Punch, making sure to keep other end free of punch. Punch.  Turn strip around and insert other edge into punch. Punch.  This gives you the longer strip to layer behind your message.

Adhere Cinnamon Cider layer to card front, adhere Designer Series Paper pieces as shown above. Adhere flower cluster with Stampin' Dimensionals, cutting a dimensional in half to fit behind stem. Layer tag and adhere to lower right area.  Embellish with Elegant Faceted Gem.

Here's what the inside looks like:

Stamp the little branches in Cinnamon Cider on opposite corners of Basic White cardstock.  Adhere to inside of card.

Harvest Meadow Thank You

  Greetings!

With Autumn approaching the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper (DSP) grabbed my attention right away!  These gorgeous papers feature prints and colors to gently remind us of the changing of the seasons and the cooler weather to come.  The Nature's Harvest stamp set that is part of the collection of products in the Harvest Meadow Suite is simply lovely!  For today's card I wanted to focus on featuring the lovely papers in a design that would show multiple prints and patterns without being too busy.  Choosing papers in Crumb Cake and Misty Moonlight colors and using the simple book-binding fun-fold checked those boxes.

 The Tasteful Labels Dies are perfect for layering labels of all different shapes and sizes and providing a beautiful way to surround the simple floral image and sentiment.  Isn't it beautiful!

Here's How It's Made:

Apply two strips of Tear & Tape adhesive along the scored edges of card front between the 4-1/4" and 5-1/2" lines.  Adhere to other half of card base creating a "book binding" type of edge.  Your opening inside will be 4-1/4" x 4-1/4".

Ink the word "You" only from the thank you stamp in Misty Moonlight and stamp in lower right area of Vellum cardstock.  Ink and stamp small floral stamp so stem is just to left of "You". Making sure You is completely cleaned off and dry, ink "Thank" only and stamp at an angle just above the upper left flower.  Sprinkle Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder over stamped images and heat to set.  

Position label die around embossed image on vellum and die cut. Die cut label again from small piece of Basic White cardstock.  Adhere vellum over white with small bits of adhesive behind flowers and words (this is so adhesive doesn't show through vellum).  Also place a small tab of adhesive in lower left area under rhinestones as vellum tends to curl a bit from being heated.

Adhere large square DSP piece to right front square of card front, and small strip to left side of card front.  Die cut blue patterned label and small crumb cake banner label, as well as crumb cake label.  Layer crumb cake label behind blue label and adhere stamped assembled label on top as shown above. 

Adhere blue floral strip on left side of card, attach small banner piece by folding in half and adhering over top left edge of card.

Attach rhinestones using the Take Your Pick tool.  This tool makes it easy to pick up small pieces and see exactly where to place the items as fingers are not obscuring view.  

Here's what the inside looks like:

Stamp just a bit of the upper part of the floral stamp in lower right corner of Basic White cardstock, and adhere to inside of card. Die cut a small banner from a scrap of the blue print, snip in half and adhere to upper edge near left edge.
