Kintsugi Inspirations Blooming Phrases Birthday Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Kintsugi Inspirations Designer Series Papers (DSP) and Blooming Phrases stamp set.

The accents of gold foil in the Kintsugi Inspirations DSP prints add a beautiful touch of elegance and shimmer.  

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Blooming Phrases stamp set
  • Cloud Cover cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 3-1/2 x 1/2 for "birthday"
    • 3 x 1/2 for "happy"
  • Gold Foil Sheets 
    • 5-1/2 x 1/4 (2)
  • Kintsugi Inspirations Designer Series Paper 
    • 5-1/2 x 2 small floral blue/white/gold print
    • 5-1/2 x 3/4 blue/gold print
    • 5-1/2 x 3/4 blue swirls print
  • Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Brushed Brass Butterflies
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • Paper Trimmer

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere blue/white/gold print in center of Cloud Cover folded card front.  Adhere two remaining prints above and below center print, with no space between edges.


Adhere Gold Foil strips at top and bottom of floral print, covering edges of where prints meet, with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Ink sentiment stamps with Misty Moonlight, stamp onto Basic White cardstock strips.  



Adhere "Happy" at upper left over gold strip, with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere "Birthday" at lower right over gold strip, with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Embellish with Brushed Brass Butterflies on floral print.

Rubber band Technique Beautiful Motifs Thinking of You Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features a technique using rubber bands on a block to create the background panel design.  


Sentiment and die cut are from the Beautiful Motifs bundle.

Gather Your Supplies:

  • Beautiful Motifs Bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
  • Pecan Pie cardstock 
    • card base 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
  • Petal Pink two-tone  cardstock
    • 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 panel
  • Copper Textured Metallic Specialty Paper 
    • 3-3/4 x 2-3/4
  • Basic White cardstock
    • 3-1/2 x 2-1/2 
    • 2-1/8 x 1/2
  • Cherry Cobbler cardstock 
    • 4-1/4 x 2 with adhesive sheet attached
  • Pecan Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
  • Petal Pink Classic Stampin' Pad
  • VersaMark™ Ink  Pad
  • Blending Brush
  • Copper Wow! Embossing Powder
  • Embossing Additions tool pack
  • Adhesive Sheets
  • Low-profile Dots
  • Clear Block E
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Heat Tool
  • Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine
  • Rubber bands - non Stampin' Up! item

Here's How It's Made:

Wrap 7 or 8 rubber bands around Clear Block E.  It's okay if they are twisted.  Ink rubber bands with VersaMark, stamp onto Basic White cardstock panel.  Re-ink, turn block 90 degrees, stamp onto cardstock once or twice.  Place cardstock in embossing tray, sprinkle with embossing powder, shake off excess, hold cardstock with tweezers, melt embossing powder with heat tool to set.  

Rub blending brush onto Petal Pink ink pad to collect ink, rub ink onto embossed piece with circular motions until you've reached the color you want.


Adhere to Textured Copper panel, adhere to Light Petal Pink side of two-tone cardstock, adhere to Pecan Pie folded card front.

Die cut tall flower stem from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  Ink sentiment with Pecan Pie, stamp onto Basic White cardstock strip.


Peel backing off die cut, adhere at left side of embossed panel.  Adhere sentiment strip over lower part of stem, with Stampin' Dimensionals.


Embellish with pink Dots.
