Thanksgiving Message

Greetings! 

As we celebrate Thanksgiving today, I simply wanted to share a message of gratitude.

We have so much to be grateful for!

Every day there is an abundance of beauty, generosity and smiles all around us.  It's our responsibility to notice and appreciate the beauty and love we see and share it with others.  Remember, every day, the smile or words of kindness you gift others may be the only gift they receive, so no matter what's going on, take a moment to share kindness.  It's a priceless gift that will always enrich the lives of others as well as your own.

Our life is here to be lived with an open heart and an open mind.  Take time to share the similarities and commonalities instead of focusing on the differences.  We are all human beings.

May your day be filled with joy and love, and may that feeling extend to every day going forward.

Happiest Day Multicolored Reveal Strip Birthday Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Happiest Day stamp set.

Techniques include a fun reveal feature.  I learned this at my team meeting a few days ago, and had to share.  It's quick, easy and brings a fun surprise to a simple card.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Happiest Day stamp set
• Basic White Thick cardstock 
• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Basic White cardstock
• 4-1/2 x 4 panel
• 4 x 2
• 1/2" wide by at least 2" long strips of multiple cardstock colors (total of 8 strips)
• Colors used for this card: Basic Black, Lemon Lime Twist, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink
• Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
• Paper Snips
• Stampin' Dimensionals
• Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems

Here's How It's Made:

Apply adhesive to 4 x 2 Basic White strip, begin on one short end and adhere cardstock strips with edge of each strip butted against previous, covering entire Basic White cardstock.

Trim excess so you are left with a 4 x 2 multicolored layer on white cardstock.

Place panel horizontally near center onto Basic White folded card front.

With Paper Snips, cut a wavy line from side to side on long ends of Basic White panel.  Ink sentiment and stamp on lower right corner of bottom piece.

Adhere both pieces to front of card with Stampin' Dimensionals so strip of colored cardstock is revealed in wavy opening.

Embellish with Sparkle Gems.

Friends for Life Leaves & Hearts Friendship Card

Greetings! 

Today's card features the Friends for Life bundle and the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder.

Techniques included are layered die cuts, two-step die cutting and background stamping using an embossing folder.  

Gather Your Supplies:

• Friends for Life Bundle (Save 10% when you purchase stamp set & die with bundle item#)
• Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder
• Basic Beige cardstock 
• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Mossy Meadow cardstock
• 4 x 2 with adhesive sheet
• Flirty Flamingo cardstock
• 3-1/4 x 2-1/2 with adhesive sheet
• Basic White cardstock
• 5 x 3-3/4 panel
• 4 x 4 with adhesive sheet 
• Crumb Cake cardstock
• 4-1/4 x 5/8
• Flirty Flamingo Classic Stampin' Pad
• Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad
• Basic Beige Classic Stampin' Pad
• Iridescent Faceted Gems

Here's How It's Made:

Ink raised image side of embossing folder by lightly pressing Basic Beige ink pad onto it.  Place Basic White cardstock panel onto un-inked side of embossing folder, close embossing folder, rub lightly with hand to transfer ink onto cardstock.  Open carefully and remove cardstock.  Ink brush stroke stamp with Crumb Cake, stamp off twice, then stamp onto lower right corner of panel.  Ink sentiment with Flirty Flamingo, stamp onto brush stroke image.  Adhere to Basic Beige folded card front.

With adhesive sheets attached to cardstock, die cut the following:

• Mossy Meadow - large open leaf die
• Basic White - large open leaf die, small heart duo, outline friend die
• Flirty Flamingo - friend die, small heart duo
• Crumb Cake - long brush stroke die

Adhere Flirty Flamingo friend die cut onto Basic White outline die

Layer leaf die cuts and adhere to Basic White panel.  Adhere brushstroke die cut near bottom of leaf die cuts, adhere "friend" onto it.  Adhere heart die cuts scattered onto card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Embellish with Iridescent Faceted Gems.

Thoughtful Wishes Wonderful Thoughts Sweet Days of Autumn Card

Greetings!

Today's card features the Thoughtful Wishes and Wonderful Thoughts stamp sets.

Coloring techniques use both sponge daubers and Stampin' Blends.

Gather Your Supplies:

• Thoughtful Wishes stamp set
• Wonderful Thoughts stamp set
• Pecan Pie cardstock 
• card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored & folded at 5-1/2    OR    5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored & folded at 4-1/4
• Very Vanilla cardstock
• 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 panel
• Peach Pie cardstock
• 1-3/4 x 1-3/4
• Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper 
• 5-1/4 x 4 grid print
• Copper Clay Classic Stampin' Pad
• Peach Pie Classic Stampin' Pad
• Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend
• Pecan Pie center stripe ribbon - 9"
• Neutrals adhesive-backed sequins

Here's How It's Made:

Adhere grid DSP print to Pecan Pie folded card front.  

Ink plant stamp with Copper Clay, stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock with top of stamp near upper left corner, re-ink and stamp again to right of first image.  Cover center with sticky note or masking paper, ink plant stamp and stamp with top of stamp near bottom right.  

Color in leaves with Old Olive Light Stampin' Blend.  Press sponge dauber onto Peach Pie ink pad, daub color onto flowers, coloring a few flowers before re-inking dauber.

Tear corner of lower left piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, roll slightly, adhere Very Vanilla panel to card front.

Ink sentiment with Copper Clay, stamp in center of Peach Pie cardstock.  Apply adhesive to back of cardstock, zigzag ribbon back and forth twice, adhere.  Adhere sentiment piece to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, covering intersecting area of stamped plants.

Embellish with Neutrals adhesive-backed sequins.
