Here we are in the month of December already! Time flies!
There's still time to make your Christmas cards and get them mailed before the big day. Today's card features a little pocket to hold a mini card with space on the back for your signature and a special little note. Because the pocket features two diagonal pieces, you have enough for two cards with the remaining pieces, so you feel like you're being time savvy. The combinations of Designer Series Paper (DSP) prints and cardstock you can use are limited only by your imagination. I fell in love with the Painted Christmas DSP last year and was so thrilled to know it was carrying over into this year. The Christmas Season stamp set that coordinates with it provides beautiful stamps that work together to build gorgeous completed images.
Isn't it lovely! The white background brings in the addition of texture with the Fern 3D embossing folder, which looks like pine boughs. The ribbon tie helps pull it all together, give it a little sparkle, and draw attention to the pocket. The 'Tis the Season greeting is from the Brightest Glow stamp set, which I'm happy to say will be carrying over for another year! Yay! I love finding out the sets I purchase are continuing forward as we get to use them and share them even longer, making it money well spent. :)

Here's How It's Made:
Emboss Basic White cardstock panel with Fern 3D embossing folder, adhere to Crumb Cake cardstock panel.
Cut Painted Christmas DSP pine cone print and Crumb Cake cardstock diagonally, as shown here:
Overlap pine cone print triangle with Crumb Cake triangle to create a pocket. Adhere together along bottom edge only with Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Flip over and run a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along both sides and bottom edge. Tear & Tape adhesive has more thickness, so it creates a a little height for the pocket card to slide into. Adhere to embossed Basic White panel at bottom edge first, then cupping sides slightly to create a bit more of an opening for the pocket card.
Wrap Gold 3/8" Shimmer ribbon around all assembled layers, and tie a bow, trim excess. Adhere to Evening Evergreen Panel.
For Pocket Card:
Ink largest pine cone stamp with Crumb Cake, stamp at diagonal in corner of small Basic White cardstock panel. Reink and stamp again in opposite corner. Ink second largest pine cone stamp with Early Espresso and stamp onto Crumb Cake pine cone. Reink and repeat with opposite pine cone stamp. Ink pine frond with Evening Evergreen and stamp above pine cone, then stamp again without reinking, offsetting slightly. Ink pine frond and stamp again in opposite direction, with ends meeting at top of pine cone. Repeat with opposite pine cone.
Ink 'Tis the Season with Evening Evergreen and stamp in center of stamped Basic White, adhere Evening Evergreen. Adhere second Basic White piece on backside of Evening Evergreen for your personal note.
To create a second card, simply cut the three large pieces for the card base, use the two diagonal pieces (the pocket triangles will be the opposite directions), and cut and stamp another small pocket card. You now have a second one ready to go.
